The scoring began in the first inning when Atlantis University took the lead. Fernando Fernandez induced Alex Socarras into a fielder's choice, allowing one run to score. However, the Bobcats quickly responded, tying the game at one in the bottom of the first on a wild pitch. In the fourth inning, St. Thomas University gained the lead with a solo home run from Frank Diaz, pushing the score to 2-1. The game remained competitive, with Justin Suarez hitting a single in the top of the sixth to equalize at two runs. After the sixth inning, the Bobcats pulled ahead again. Axel Olvera contributed to the score with a single in the bottom of the sixth, making it 3-2. The Bobcats strengthened their lead with three runs in the seventh inning, highlighted by a home run from Hill.

Frank Vila won the Bobcats victory, pitching one inning without allowing any runs. Alejandro Uribe was credited with the loss for Atlantis University after one inning of work, where he allowed two runs (one earned) on just one hit.
