A Career Built on Passion and Success
Francisco "Frankie" Hernandez has been a dedicated and passionate basketball coach since 2015, bringing over nine years of experience to the court. His coaching journey began with grassroots programs, where he quickly gained a reputation for his strategic mind and ability to inspire players.
In 2019, Hernandez advanced his career by coaching the Tiburones de Aguadilla at the semi-professional level in Puerto Rico. Under his leadership, the team achieved a franchise record by reaching the elite eight, a historic milestone for the organization.
His career continued to ascend when he became the head coach at Central Pointe Christian Academy in Orlando, Florida, where he also served as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations. His dual role allowed him to refine his coaching and administrative skills, preparing him for greater responsibilities.
In 2021, Coach Hernandez was named Head Coach at Florida Palms University, a sister school to Atlantis University. Despite the university's first-year basketball program, Hernandez led the team to an impressive 16-14 record and won the Independent College Conference Championship in the 2021-22 season. His leadership and vision were instrumental in this success.
Following the merger of Florida Palms University with Atlantis University, Hernandez was appointed Director of Basketball Operations and Assistant Basketball Coach. His impact was immediate, leading to his appointment as Athletic Administrator and Head Men's Basketball Coach in 2024.

He holds a sports psychology certification and is pursuing an MBA in business, underscoring his commitment to the sport and his players' academic development.
