Bio

Diego Rios brings over 20 years of soccer experience, including playing professionally and developing players to reach their maximum potential. He began his tenure as the AU Men's Soccer Head Coach in the 2024-25 season.

Diego earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Florida International University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Sport Management. He holds an Academy Director diploma from RDC Espanyol FC, a USSF C License, and is currently working toward his USSF B License.

With extensive coaching experience, Diego has trained players ages 10-19, focusing on technical and tactical development to enhance their game intelligence and individual skills. He works closely with athletes to refine techniques and fundamentals. Over the past 13 years, he has coached at premier showcase tournaments across the U.S., helping players secure college recruitment opportunities and leading teams to national-level competition.
